Keith turns 43

On Tuesday 1/20/09- the day history was made, Keith also made history - he turned 43!! We made him a cake and had to hide it and his present in Lenzi's room. Lenzi had a game that night, so the celebration had to wait until after the game. Here's the birthday boy with 2 girls that stole his heart long ago! The girls decided to stand on chairs to be 'taller' than Keith. Lexi swears she's going to be as tall as him. HA HA!

Three very windy people! Lexi made the #43 with the single candles we had. When they blew out the candles there was a huge smoke cloud in our kitchen. I was sure the fire alarm was going to sound!

Here's me with the birthday boy. Hard to believe we've been together only (almost) six years. Seems like we've been together forever - in the very best of ways. He brings so much happiness to my life - and the lives of the girls. I love his laugh - and he laughs at me often. He's the most patient man I know. I never knew until him, that the simplest things in live bring the most joy. I remember when we first started dating he told me he was just a simple man who wanted a simple life. Well, so much for the simple life, honey! We love you to the moon and back a gazillion times!

Cleaning Nazi

That is EXACTLY what my husband is. He was up early barking orders, and instigating all kinds of chaos on our home this morning. He acts like he's so serious and talks firmly to the girls, then turns to me w/ this big "cat that ate the mouse" grin. He's rotten! Tory (our neighbor & great friend!) said Keith has to have the house so clean we can eat off the floors. Pretty close. Problem is, I'm almost as bad. Billie & Dawn (lovingly) give me a hard time about my obsessive organization. I just can't help it. What was that movie...had Julie Roberts in it, and her husband insisted that all things be in their place, that all labels faced the same direction w/ the same amount of space between them...that would be me!! I have to laugh at myself sometimes. Ok, a lot. I could blame my mom...after all, we always had to organize our grocery carts when we'd go the grocery store every six months. All cold stuff, all boxed stuff, all cleaning...it all had to be in it's own cart - and bagged that way, too. To this day, I still shop that way, and put my things in order before they bag them. If they bag them wrong, I fix it. See, isn't that something to laugh at?? It's me, though. :o)

Here's Lenzi with her Guinea pig, Willie. I would have never thought she'd want one of these things. I have yet to hold it. It's funny, he' KNOWS when Lenzi is home, and he goes crazy and chatters. The other picture is how when found her one evening - on her bed, sound a sleep and he was just cuddled up next to her, as content as can be.
Here's Lexi jamming out with Guitar Hero World Tour, and can you see what is in her hand??? Her darn cell phone! She's a multi-tasker, and it drives us nuts!!! Here's poor Zoey, feeling neglected, sitting in the bean bag in the same room. Poor puppy. :o(

For my mom...

Here's Lenzi at her bball game Monday night. We played North Knox and won. Lenzi had 2 pts and 4 steals. This is her 1st year to play, and she loves it. She gets so excited each time she's in the starting 5 - which has been all but one game. She's funny, she has to make sure she finds me in the stands and points out to me that she's starting. ha ha She has a really good coach that has taken the time to encourage her and work w/ her.

Here's a picture of Lenzi w/her new bball she got for Christmas. One of the doctors I work for told me that @ a bball clinic he went to years ago, he was told that if he wanted be a good bball player to take the bball w/him wherever he went, even to sleep w/it. He said he's had his son do it, and he's improved. I told Lenzi the story, so you can guess where her bball is at. :o)

Here's a picture of Lexi with her volleyball that she got for Christmas.

She gave up cheerleading this year for volleyball. I was sad at first, but I'm ok w/ it now. She does love it and I love watching her play. She's growing up so fast, it makes me sad. She's such a goof ball. She's into boys, texting, and being a social butterfly. She told me tonight that she's just going to do volleyball, track and then the summer softball. Tried to convince her to play jr high softball, but she said no because it will interfere with track. I love watching her play softball almost as much as I loved watching her play soccer - which our school does not offer, as it would conflict w/ football. Oh well.

This is what goes on at our house most evenings that we aren't running from one place to another. The girls got a Wii for Christmas, and I have to admit Keith and I like it almost as much as the girls do. We removed our dining room table and made our dining room into the game room. Ha ha. Not like we used the dining room anyway! Stormi, we have put your tv to good use!

Not much else is going on. We're enjoying being home after all the travel during the holidays.

Mom, I hope you have a smile on your face, after all, I'm blogging for your sake. Love you!
